I started as a creative intern at Wonderspaces and moved up to graphic designer. I supported the creative director by designing marketing materials, company documents, sourcing artists, and making show graphics. We opened new locations in 2 states and designed 2 shows while I was there. The creative director and I collaborated closely on a show called Elsewhere, a theme inviting both artists and visitors to share an altered sense of place. Installations played with gravity, sound, space, even weather.
We created the core visuals by scanning items holding important memories from our travels. I created a custom, handwritten typeface to evoke postcards and letters from faraway places.
