RACHEL SIMANJUNTAK (SIMMON-JUNE-TOK)

ABOUT CONTACT RÉSUMÉ

Hey! Welcome to my slice of the internet. I'm a graphic designer and artist in Los Angeles.

The pandemic whirled me away to Trader Joe's for a while BUT I never lost my love for the craft and found ways to continue designing for artists, non-profits, small businesses, grassroots organizations, and experiential design agencies.

In addition to my Bachelor's in Graphic Design, I've undertaken advanced typography courses at Type-Ed's dojo in Los Angeles (RIP Michael Stinson). I am an alumni of the School for Poetic Computation. I interned with 2 NASA artists as they dreamed up the Museum of Awe and helped them bring their installations to the public.

As an artist, I organize zine fests and community circles that grapple with topics like technology, grief, genocide, queerness, and COVID. I am also a co-founder and organizer for tiny tech zines.

🏓 💊 ping pong is my drug.
